Once upon a time there was a girl who loved to write songs. She could write songs about anything and she discovered that whenever she wrote songs and sung them, they cast spells and evoked deep emotion. That emotion created transformation, movement and release for the people listening. Even her dad’s friends who she’d only ever seen get joyously emotional over basketball and beer would be allowing tears to fall when she sang.
She realised this was a superpower but didn’t quite know how to exercise it.
One day, when the girl was a young woman, other women started asking her to sing for them. They’d ask her, ‘will you write me a song for my book launch? For my love? For my temple work?’
The Calling had arrived and she decided to say yes, making a pact with herself that when the calling came, she’d listen.
The Calling is born from a knowing that she has a collection of songs ready to be born through her, either simply for herself or as an offering to others.
First there was Temple Calling, a collection of songs dedicated to temples women had created.
Then there was Heart Calling: A Love Anthology.
Now there is Genius Witch Calling, a collection of songs dedicated to the inner magic of 13 women’s hearts,
And Creatress Calling, a collection of songs (& also a book and card deck) in celebration of the creative power of 13 women luxuriating in who they were born to be and their natural impact in the world.
